Lantern slide, moveable. No maker's name. Gift of Colgate University, Department of Physics and Astronomy.

This slide is marked with a paper label that reads: "No. 9. This Diagram shews the various Eclipses of the Sun, with the transit of Venus." [In the 1848 catalog of American instrument dealer Benjamin Pike, a nearly identical slide is offered for $4.00]
